SERVICE OBJECTIVE<\/strong>
The aim of the Youth Development Program is to provide a trauma-informed, holistic approach for young people aged 12\u201325 and their families, supporting the well-being, coping skills, and development of youth.<\/p>

This is a complex service centered around psychological counseling. The learning support and hobby activity components are additional services that support the achievement of goals agreed upon by the youth, family, and psychologist.<\/p>

Our target group:<\/strong> Youth aged 12\u201325 experiencing anxiety, depression, self-harming behavior, and various mental health concerns (excluding acute psychosis and intellectual disabilities).<\/p>

SERVICE PROCEDURE<\/strong>
The initial contact is made with the case coordinator, who introduces the service, maps out the initial needs, and ensures the suitability of the offered service. After that, the first meeting is scheduled with the youth\/family\/network.<\/p>

During the first meeting, the youth participates, if possible, together with a parent or guardian. From the Youth Development Program team, the case coordinator and psychologist attend the meeting. Together with the youth, goals are set and documented in the client\u2019s case file and written goal plan.<\/p>

For adult youth, a service agreement is signed for 10 service sessions.<\/p>

For the work practice component, a separate tripartite agreement is signed between the employer, the employee (youth), and the Youth Development Program (NAP).<\/p>

Psychological counseling supports the mental health of young people, as well as their overall coping and adaptability in various situations. It focuses on developing self-awareness and social skills, teaching new coping strategies, helping youth recognize and utilize their own resources, and thereby enhancing self-esteem and motivation. If needed, the entire family is involved in the process.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The service is provided in a calm environment, at a pace and volume suitable for the young person, with the aim of addressing learning gaps. It offers step-by-step experiences of success, helping to restore joy and curiosity in learning.<\/p>

This service does not replace the responsibilities of schools but supports young people who need learning assistance in a different setting. The volume of learning support is based on individual needs and is determined by the team.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

This service component supports the young person’s self-development, motivation, identity, and self-esteem. It also offers alternatives to help prevent risky behavior. The hobby education instructor maintains contact with our psychologist or case manager to provide holistic support and find the best possible outlet for the youth. Areas of activity include music, art, sports, and more.<\/p>

The volume of support for hobby education is up to\u00a04 hours per calendar month per youth<\/strong>.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

This component supports the development of self-confidence and self-management. Since many young people experience high levels of anxiety and have low stress tolerance, they need their first work experience in a safe and supportive environment.<\/p>

The youth is referred to work practice by the case manager in cooperation with the psychologist. The work process runs in parallel with the youth\u2019s self-esteem development and the analysis of their emotions and thoughts. The goal of the work practice is to support the youth\u2019s independence, abilities, goal-setting, and career planning.<\/p>

The average duration of work practice for one youth is 3 months, or until a total of 120 working hours is completed. The service provider covers the salary.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The service is provided\u00a0free of charge<\/strong>\u00a0to young people and families who are registered residents of the City of Tallinn. If there are available counseling slots, the service may also be offered to youth whose actual or registered place of residence is outside Tallinn. In such cases, a prior agreement must be made with the respective local government, and an invoice will be issued for the service according to the price list.<\/p>
